Edukasyon Launches In Visayas Cebu based operations build nationwide presence for the EdTech startup

 

Edukasyon, the leading education technology startup in the Philippines,has announced the official launch of its Visayas operations with the new regional office located in Cebu City. This brings the company nationwide, with headquarters in Manila and additional teams in Central Luzon and Davao. The expansion of its operations to Visayas enables Edukasyon to actively engage with local students, as well as its growing network of more than 500 educational partners and 50 corporate and foundation partners.

Edukasyon was founded in 2015 with a mission to empower Filipino Gen Z youth (age13-23) to make better informed decisions about their education, career and daily life. The technology platform’s holistic set of services allow students to directly Inquire and apply to schools, browse thousands of higher education programs and courses locally, abroad and online, apply for scholarship opportunities, and access engaging student-centric content.

Ten million students now access the platform each year, representing half of Gen Z youth nationwide. In 2018, nearly 750,000 student Visitors originated from the Visayas region. With increasing volume, the App shows significant opportunity to help the youth on their path to quality education and sustainable careers.

More than 10 schools in the Visayas region have joined Edukasyon’s partner community to date: Silliman University, University of San Jose-Recoletos, University of San Agustin, Southwestern University PHINMA, Cebu Doctor’s University, Indiana Aerospace University, and several technical-vocational institutions.
