Synopsis: You know the Disney story. A Prince was turned into a ‘Beast’ and the only way to break the curse is to find someone who will love him.

Review: We know the story. We’ve read and seen the animated movies so we know the plot and the twist. What makes it interesting is how the movie brought to life the animated version.

Since I know the plot, I can’t help but differentiate the ‘current movie’ from the animated version while watching it. I was just evaluating if the current movie followed the animated version frame-by-frame down to the minute details the entire duration of the movie.

Emma Watson was great as Belle. She looks, sings, and acted the part well (I personally prefer Anne Hathaway for the part though). The movie followed the original version, though not 100 percent (see for yourself). The cast was great and the details superb. Emma Watson and the ‘Beast’ got some serious chemistry going that you can really feel the character’s attraction between themselves.

There was no modern adaptation of the story that’s why I can consider this adaptation as a ‘Classic’ Disney Movie that will never grow old. Just think of it as the Disney Classic Animated Movie, only this time brought to life. Indeed, this ‘Beauty and the Beast’ movie will surely become a ‘Tale as old as time’.

Beauty and the Beast is NOW showing nationwide. Check your favorite movie houses for the movie schedule.
