Boracay, Cebu and Palawan Among Top 5 Best Island in Asia

Cebu finally got the recognition it deserves as it was proclaimed as the second best island in Asia for the 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards survey.

With 600,000 registered voters, readers of the luxury travel publicstion, Condé Nast Traveler, ranked the 30 best islands in the world outside the US.

“Located in the center of the Philippines, Cebu draws nearly 2 million travelers annually for its pristine beaches and diving off the island’s northern coast. Spanish and Roman Cathoic influences permeate Cebu City; Basilica Minore del Santo Niño houses a small statue of Christ that was presented by Ferdinand Magellan.”

Siargao, which was voted 2018’s Best Island in Asia was not on the list year. Boracay was named this year’s best,followed by Cebu, Penang, Palawan, and Bali respectively.
