Where To Find The Most Eligible Single Guys and Girls in Cebu

Hollywood and Philippine movies have portrayed that the Night Clubs or Bars are the places to be to find a hot (physically good looking), Single guy or girls you can take home with. While it may be true in the US or in Metro Manila, can you find the most eligible Single Guys & Girls in Cebu City’s Night Life?

 

The Fact is….

Based on your or your friend’s recent Clubbing or Bar Hopping experience, when was the last time you were able to actually meet and talk to a good looking single guy or girl and ended with a follow-up date? I’d say about 90% of the time, you don’t meet these types of individuals in Cebu’s Night Life.

There are a lot of Bars and Clubs in Cebu and Mandaue City that cater depending on your music and crowd preference. While you can still find Singles in these scenes, these are not the places to be if you want to find physically good looking guys and girls. Most of the time, those who go out partying in the Clubs are usually college students who want to look ‘cool’, those who earn a living out of sex, and Koreans. The ‘qualified’ Singles in the Cebu’s Club Scene are usually with their special someone, are taken but not with their bf/gf, or think that they are better than anyone else in the room since they believe that they are ‘that good looking’ and anyone who deserves their attention must be at par with them, has a car, or rich.

So If you’re really looking for a good catch in Cebu City, you won’t catch them in the City’s Night Life.

There’s 1 place in Cebu City where you can mostly meet the most eligible Singles based on looks, character and profession (total package), and it’s not in the Malls in Cebu. The best place to check are Coffee Shops. Let me tell you why…

Why Coffee Shops?

We all know that kids, millenials and young professionals want to hang out in Starbucks, Bo’s Coffee, CBTL or any other local Coffee Shops with their fave Frappe or Coffee nowadays. BUT, what you need to look out for are the ones reading a book, with their earphones, and sitting alone. Never mind those who are in a company of friends or using their phones or tablet scrolling Facebook.

These individuals who are reading a book or listening to something with their earphones are usually the good looking Law and Medicine students from the different prestigious Law and Medicine Schools in the City. Who doesn’t want to date or have a relationship with a future Lawyer or Doctor? Besides, these post-grad students are mostly single because of the inadequate time to go out and mingle with the opposite (or same) sex, but it doesn’t mean they are not open to dating. They are, they just can’t initiate it but they are open to the idea as long as the other party initiates it. Just because they’re fixated with their book or listening to something doesn’t mean they’re not open to a casual conversation to get to know you. If they don’t want to be disturb, they should have gone to a study center where they can get absolutely zero distractions. But they’re not in a study center, so they don’t mind the distraction. You just have to ‘know’ the moves for a suave ice breaker (Pick up lines won’t work, BELIEVE ME).

One effective way for a Law, Medicine student, or someone that match the profile to notice you when they’re fixated with what they’re doing is to stare at them until they stop reading and look around their surroundings. Everyone knows when someone is staring at them. And when they catch you staring at them, just smile and then pretend like you’re doing something (if you’re not doing something). Repeat 3x. And after the third time he/she catches you staring at them, just walk  to them and ask them like this,

“Hi, I’m sorry. You look familiar. Have we met before?”

It’s cheesy and it’s from a line in a movie but it works, ALWAYS. Don’t translate it in Tagalog or BISAYA, the effectiveness of that line loses its value if you translate it.  And that person you’ve just dropped the line on will definitely respond back to you positively. Just be confident, but not arrogant. They might just give you their mobile no. or let you know when they’ll be back again at their usual spot.

NOTE: Even if they are not a Law or Medicine Student but as long as they are reading a book, listening with their earphones, alone, and GOOD LOOKING or pass your standards, the technique and the ice breaker will still work.
