2016 is almost over. You probably made some decent memories and crossed some items from your Bucket List this year. But how’s your financial status? Are you still living on a per payday basis? Is ‘TINGBITS or TINGBITAY’ still a part of your dictionary or worse, lifestyle?

Tip #1: Work in a BPO Company
Crazy right? But having a BPO experience was the best work experience that prepared me professionally. I’ve worked with other Industry in the past but it is only working in the BPO sector that I was trained on how to master the art of multi-tasking and total customer satisfaction. No other Industry taught me this discipline on how to resolve a problem at the quickest possible time without sacrificing other areas such as the quality of service. Even if we don’t know the answer to a customer’s inquiry, we still try our best to find a way to answer their concern quickly. After all, CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) and FCR (First Call Resolution) are probably the major metrics of any BPO Scorecard. Thus, I highly recommend having a BPO work experience.
Tip #2: Get a Second Job
We’ve seen it in the movies. We even hear our callers saying they’re having a second job. Why can’t we? Getting a second job means additional source of income and lesser time to party, getting drunk, traveling, and procrastinating. Choose a job that you are passionate about. If it’s selling, then sell. In my case, I love helping people so I got a job as a Virtual Assistant online.
Tip #3: Get an online job!
The best thing about getting an online job is that you can work with as many clients as you can (as long as you can maintain excellent service to all of your clients) and unlimited earning opportunities. In my case, I started working with an average of 3-5 clients all while having a full time job. Your hourly rate depends on your work experience and skills. Thus, the more skills and work experience, the higher your rate is!
We all want to have our own house, business, car or family someday. But with only one source of income, it will probably take you time to realize your goals (or worse, NOT REALIZE at all!). I don’t believe in savings but I believe in investment. Time is your investment in this case and getting a second job means giving up most of your free time. If you want job security, hold on to your primary job. Getting a second job or an online job are not secured jobs.
