What turns you on?

I am easily fascinated by guys who are not only educated but wise as well. Anyone can get away with a degree but may not necessarily be wise. I get attracted to someone who can talk me anything about the world, the universe rather: about people, ideas, and stories. A guy who knows what he says easily gets my interest. But it would be a perfect package if he has a “dad bod.” Nothing beats such combination.

Pet Peeves?

I easily get bugged when accidentally reading grammatically incorrect and/or misspelled posts on Facebook. Working as a junior copy editor for more than a year, I have acquired the skill to quickly see erroneous texts whether online or print. I have low tolerance to people on Facebook who cheaply show off intelligence only to fall short—as if trying to say something in English would make them wiser. Well, someone can be intelligent without speaking English.

What’s your ideal date?

A surprise date! I love surprises. I want to feel that excitement and be enthralled.

Name one (1) Fact that people don’t know about you

I still sleep with my thirteen-year-old unwashed hot dog pillow. It’s even wrapped with a Ninja Turtle pillowcase. And I named her “Tata.” (She’s female though she has a boyish pillowcase.)

What’s the best thing about being single?

Freedom. I have had my share of failed relationships. I have observed that being committed to someone can sometimes be suffocating. It does not give you the liberty to pursue your personal plans without getting the consent of your partner. I’ve always loved to travel and be with friends when the time calls for it. But having a partner would sometimes restrict me from doing all these. The last time I was in a relationship, I remember constantly reporting to my boyfriend my whereabouts. I kept on texting or calling him telling him where I was. Although he trusted me, nothing feels like when you are in total control of yourself without having to rely on someone else’s decisions. I feel more powerful when I am single and independent.

How can someone catch your attention?

A guy’s scent. I am so into guys who smell good. When they pass by you and their perfume smell goes with them, this gives me chills—the feels. Specifically, I love guys who wear CK One, which is, I think, my favorite male scent.

What’s best about Cebu?

What I like best about Cebu is its diversity. From food to the tourist spots, Cebu is a very lovely place to be in. I could not risk choosing another place for this beloved province. From pristine sand beaches to the enchanting cold waters of the rivers and waterfalls, to the hot springs of the South and North—I couldn’t ask for more. Not forgetting the wealthy choices to satisfy or gastric lusts—seafoods, barbeque, siomai, first-class buffet restaurants, pungko-pungko, native foods, and there are just too many of them. I lost count of what I like about Cebu! That’s why it’s so diverse. And because Cebu loves diversity, we, transwomen, and the members of the LGBT Community are well accepted and loved by the people here. In fact, the biggest transpageant of the country—which was Queen of Cebu, now Queen Philippines—is held here with a spectacular audience turnout year after year. Awesome!
