Aside from Djing, what are your other interests?

I grew up playing video games from the first platform of Playstation until the present, basically I’m into FPS games (which is a select few) and RPG games. I have spent a significant amount of time finishing the series I love ever since like Devil may cry, Resident evil (from 1 to revelations) Metal gear solid (1 to 4). Other games like Deadpool, The Last of us (praying they create a sequel of this game since this is wicked sick!) and a lot more. If I have a load of time to kill, I will play games on the PS emulator on my computer. I also played Dance central 3 and Dance dance revolution years ago since I consider myself a frustrated dancer and this is the only outlet where I can do it. I love Watching movies, TV series or playing video games under the Zombie survival genre (hope I got the term right),Action and Martial Arts. I’m a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I have never missed any Marvel film from Iron Man 1 to Captain America Civil War. I also finished watching Jessica Jones and Daredevil and excited to start watching Luke Cage, Iron Fist and finish agents of shield. Im so hooked with it and I have thought that if someone in this planet is that filthy rich and that intelligent like Tony Stark there will be a real life Iron Man.
Before I started the DJing, I began with musical instruments. I can play guitar, bass and piano and I have been part of a church band around 2003-2006 when me and my family were still at Bulacan. Also tried being part of a choir and attempted to learn dancing but none of them worked. I have tried everything under music but I failed or didn’t grow/improve on it except the Djing. I also play DOTA2 but seldom these days because of the time I have to put on practicing (I have to go somewhere to do that), researching and creating my own mashups. Also lot of time reading and researching stuff online about stuff that interests me. I love having deep conversations with people since most of the time people tend to misunderstand my words or actions. Lastly I’m a UFC fan. I love watching it from time to time and hoping that Georges St Pierre will come back inside the octagon.

What’s the best part of your craft?

I get to meet a lot of people, be in different places and travel (for free and get paid!) and play in front of a crowd. I love it especially when I see people dancing and jumping on the beats I drop. Also, I get to meet different DJs who have different expertise for the various genres inside or outside EDM.
If people are addicted to alcohol, drugs, cigarettes and other stuff, I consider DJing my addiction, cause when I’m behind a CDJ/controller I just get an emotional high. Those feel good hormones especially when I play those tracks I love gives me goosebumps or shivers down my spine. I also like to play unfamiliar tracks or beats that complement the ones that I am/will be playing Cause like what Laidback Luke said “It’s not about how many hits you play, it is what you play after the hits that defines you as a DJ.” This is the way I educate my crowd that there is A LOT of beautiful music out there. You only have to know where to look and its all available at the internet.

What/Who made you want to become a DJ?

It all happened at the Debut of a good friend and kinakapatid of mine. During her debut and when the function was over, guys behind the sound system started playing music and my lil sis and my twin was there with me and people are dancing. At that night it fell on my head. “I’m gonna download Virtual DJ and let me drop some pop tracks.” I dropped dancepop tracks and they were all at the dancefloor grooving with the beat! If my memory serves me right that was around 2011 or 2012. And then I thought, I can make a living out of this while enjoying playing music I love at the same time. I started building my playlist with tracks of David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Avicii and Afrojack. from 4 artist and 1000 tracks in the span of 4 years time, it expanded and now with different DJs, Different genres and more than 10000 tracks in my pandora’s box. started as an Electro and Big room house junkie, then eventually I fell in love with different genres like House, Trap, Dubstep, Techno, Progressive Trance and the list goes on. My expertise will always be house. But if an event would require me to play a different genre, give me ample time like 2 weeks or a month and I will pull it off with a bang while I incorporate my signature way of mixing music. I would also want to thank my mentor. Sometimes harsh words are needed to be said in order for someone to improve. Thank you to my DJ brothers and people I worked with along the way who helped me and inspired me one way or another. I would like to thank my twin and my mom for giving me unbiased feedback whenever I practice at home if its gonna work or it will suck. And Lastly, to my Girlfriend and Manager who constantly encourages me to do better on my craft and to be a better person everyday. And whenever I feel the pressure or I’m doubting or questioning my capabilities she always pat me on the back and encourage me that I can do it. It makes me feel successful even I know that I’m not there yet. Whenever I see her and her smile, I get motivated and inspired to do better.

How about relationship status, are you currently single or in a relationship?

Im in a exclusive relationship with someone right now. And it makes me happy since she is very supportive to what I do. She is even showing interest of becoming a DJ as well 😀

Where can people see you/where are your usual gigs?

Right now I am not a resident DJ of any club. But if ever you like how I work, you can always call me anytime. just give me at least 2 weeks or a week notice before the event and I will prepare for it. Don’t like playing anything random since I want my set to be tight and harmonic.
