Ford’s Driving Skills For Life instills the Importance of Road Safety
With it’s commitment to safety, Ford Philippines brought its globally-recognized Driving Skills For Life (DSFL) program to Cebu for the first time which was attended by public utility vehicle drivers (PUV), TNVS drivers, traffic enforcers, student drivers, and Ford customers.
The program includes classroom training and actual driving sessions which provided participants the necessary skills in vehicle maintenance, fuel-efficient driving, and most importantly, safe driving. This is in support of the recent implementation of the Anti-Distracted Driving Law in the country.
This year, Ford Philippines want drivers to keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel at all times because nothing is worth losing that special connection for. Thus, they want every drivers to take the #ParkYourPhone pledge to park your phones while you drive. Included in the classroom session are on how to know when to replace your tires and effects of DUI. After the classroom session, everyone was ushered in the parking area of SM City for an actual driving lessons on those thought during the classroom instructions.
DSFL is a United Nations-recognized training initiative that educates drivers about smart and safe driving to minimize road accidents and promote fuel-efficient driving.
Now on its 10th year in the Philippines, the program provides an immersive and interactive training experience customized to reflect local driving environment and road conditions in the Philippines.
