Going local with Isla Ora!

Each Food Establishment has its own story. Some started because of their love for food, a legacy from their family, and to others, an investment.  But never have I heard of one that was started out from the love of a lifestyle, until with Isla Ora.

Founded by a team of food, community and family loving friends with diverse backgrounds, Isla Ora was established to signify their love of the ocean, their passion for the environment, appreciation of great food, and quality time spent with friends and families. This is the Isla Ora lifestyle. And the Founders want their customers to enjoy by immersing into this lifestyle every time they dine or chill here.

Isla Ora is located at 54 President Roxas Street in Kasambagan (near Castle Peak). The Island vibe starts the moment you enter the al fresco. A huge mural depicting the island life sets the tone of the place. Christopher White, CEO and one of the founders of Isla Ora, told us that everything – the paintings, furniture, plates, and the design, were inspired and made from Bantayan Island.  True to their commitment and passion for the environment, they made sure that all items are natural, recycled and made minimal use of plastic byproducts. Hence, the bamboo tables and chairs, the banana leaf as a plate, and no drinking straws to name a few.

They’re all about supporting local too. They take pride in using the freshest local ingredients and the high-quality imported products for their pizza. The veggies are supplied directly from the Mountain farmers of Cebu and not just bought in the market. The crab meat for their pizza only comes from the fishermen of Bantayan Island (and they even know their names!).  And for those ingredients that make the pizza ‘Italian’, they import these ingredients from Italy and not just bought at the foreign isle of your fave grocery store.  Sounds pricey,eh? Not really. The Founders made sure  that their varieties of pizza remain competitive despite having the best and quality ingredients. For example, their 10-inch Bestseller pizza, Bantayan Island Crab Meat, is only for Php295. Compared to other Pizza restaurants, it’s pretty reasonable considering the ingredients used. Their cooking time is pretty quick too so you don’t need to wait long if you’re already famished.

They also serve locally crafted beer from Cebruery with each flavor having its own unique taste. Unlike any other bars and restaurants, they serve their crafted beers in chilled glasses. That means, no ice cubes on our beer like what we’re used to. It is a bit stronger compared to the leading local beer but if you’re with the company of good friends, that won’t matter.

What makes this Pizza house a must-try is not just about its pizza. Isla Ora is a great place to chill with your family and friends with that Island kind of vibe – this the Isla Ora Lifestyle. Experience it for yourself today!
