PWS’ 3rd Innovation Pop Up: Championing Innovation in Water and Sanitation
It’s Still Back to Basics with Water & Sanitation Innovation with the 3rd Innovation Pop Up
Partnerships for Water Solution (PWS) held it’s 3rd Innovation Pop Up last July 26, 2019. PWS is a newly registered company created to provide specialized services to support the infrastructure sector in the Philippines and Asia. They consider the introduction of innovations in the delivery of its services a crucial element in doing business.
The event invited groups and experts from both public and private sector to talk about what are the innovations in water and sanitation here in Cebu. Engr. Vince Harvey Alano from Suez International Philipipines, a globa expert in water and wastewater management, Certified Green Design Professional Architect Joy Martinez-Onozawa, PWRA Executive Director Edgar Sibonga and NEDA ASec Roderick Planta were the resource speakers/experts for the event.
Unlike water and sanitation technology advancements in other developed Asian countries, basic practices such as reusing waste water in the household is still the most effective water management in the country.
Although laws are in place, the lack of coordination from different government agencies remains to be a problem. Hopefully with the Duterte administration, these problems and loopholes will be addressed so the Country’s development will be propelled for the better!
